RISD Fund Impact Report
The RISD Fund Impact Report makes the case for Rhode Island School of Design’s annual fund and achieves stewardship and cultivation goals across Institutional Advancement. This project was co-led by the Associate Director of Annual Giving, written by the Senior Associate Director of Strategic Communications, and designed by Studio Rainwater.
The four-panel accordion-fold brochure highlights each of the RISD Fund-supported institutional priorities, with brief explanations of why each area is important accompanied by evidence of impact through statistics and student testimonials.
Tiered stewardship was incorporated for donors in the 1877 Society, the RISD Fund’s recognition society for leadership giving.
Members at the base level of $2,500 received the report along with a two-sided cover note from institutional leadership containing a more detailed student story. The student profile builds upon the report, serving as bonus content that gives donors a glimpse into the experience of funding a scholarship.
Members at the $10,000 giving level received a handwritten thank-you note from their assigned gift officer or stewardship officer.
Professorship, Internship, and Academic Stewardship Reports
Through a research-based approach to reporting, I often seek out additional content to supplement and visually support the narrative content. The Maharam report was summarized from multiple sources and written on behalf of the student, while all other content is compiled and edited from the recipient or online sources. The report templates are adapted from a Studio Rainwater design.
