Lunar New Year Greeting
GSD student Jiin Choi MLA '23 was commissioned to design an original animated illustration for the Year of the Ox. Her GIF was featured in an email from the dean to over 800 alumni and donors in Asia, on the alumni website, and on social media.
New Year's Email
This was a collaborative project with the Office of Development and Alumni Relations, faculty, students, and the GSD Communications Office. Faculty members and DevAR staff selected the image of student work, and the GSD Communications department created the falling snow animation. The GIF was shared on social media and through an email, reaching over 9,000 GSD alumni and friends.
Fellowship Dinner Email Series
This email campaign celebrates the fifth anniversary of the school's biggest recognition event, which brings together over eighty financial aid donors and students on campus every April. Due to COVID-19, there was only one month's notice to pivot the in-person event to a virtual celebration.
The email series has two parts: a teaser email (sent five days before the event) and a special event email featuring a short video of the two student speakers discussing the collaborative project they would have presented at the event.
This email series was a way to demonstrate gratitude, evoke a sense of community, and honor the moment we would have been together by virtually toasting the outstanding students and generous donors. This project was presented in "Minute to Win It: Best of COVID-19" at the virtual CASE Conference for Donor Relations Professionals - June 2020. The Number 5 logo was designed by Studio Rainwater.
Planned Giving Email
This stewardship email for the GSD's planned giving society repurposes and shares a selection of stories from the 2021-2022 Giving Report. Written in collaboration with Kelsey Abbruzzese, ZZ Ink, and the GSD Planned Giving team.
Student Emergency Fund Update for Donors
This stewardship email highlights five student projects made possible through donors' generous support of emergency aid funds. A snapshot of each project links each student's name to the exact location in the article where their project is described in full detail.
Acknowledgment Email Template
The letter includes variable text for the salutation, allocation, gift type, fund description, and gift club. The P.S. text recognizes committee membership and loyalty through the total numbers of years giving to the school.
